We will tell the unwritten history of Santiago and speak from the personal and subjective experience of its inhabitants, we will focus on gastronomy and nightlife and we will also discover how in a few years Santiago went from a dictatorship to becoming one of the most open and interesting cities in Latin America, the gestation of a unique underground life, political and counterculture movements, its bar scene, the LGBT+ universe, prominent local design and everything that you won’t find in Wikipedia or history books.
This tour includes:
- Pablo Neruda House Museum (entrance not included, external visit, can you separate the work from the author?)
- Hidden bar patio (where locals hang out)
- Patio Bellavista (hyper ultra touristy but nice)
- Plaza Baquedano (epicenter of politics, protests and revolutions)
- Gabriela Mistral Fine Arts Center (exterior visit)
- Lastarria neighborhood (bars, LGBT+ scene, gastronomic and nightlife recommendations)
- Forestal Park and Museum of Fine Arts (entrance not included, external visit)
- Metro ride (you must bring your own metro card with enough credit for one trip beforehand, essential requirement)
